THE CURATORS

Design House Australia is shaped through the curatorial direction of Lucinda Kimpton and Justin Bishop, whose combined experience brings a considered and disciplined approach to the project as a whole.

Their role extends beyond the individual interior to the orchestration of a complete and cohesive environment. From the selection of designers and collaborators through to the balance of each space within the home, the focus remains on clarity, integrity, and quiet refinement.

Justin Bishop is known for a measured and consistent approach to interiors, working closely with leading architects and builders to deliver highly resolved homes defined by material integrity and enduring design. His work reflects a long-standing interest in classical proportion, craftsmanship, and the creation of spaces that feel both composed and lasting.

Lucinda Kimpton’s work has been published internationally and is recognised for its sensitivity to atmosphere, detail, and the subtle layering that defines a complete interior. Her approach brings a strong understanding of how spaces are experienced, shaped not only through design, but through the way they are inhabited.

Together, their shared perspective informs the direction of Design House Australia. While each designer contributes an individual voice, the overall vision is carefully guided, resulting in an experience that is both varied and cohesive.

In this way, the role of the curators is not to define the outcome, but to ensure a level of clarity and consistency that allows each space, and the showhouse as a whole, to be experienced as a resolved and considered expression of design.
