Ten seats. One day. A rare look inside how a home is really made.
Lucinda Kimpton and Justin Bishop welcome you to step inside their East Prahran studio — a place where ideas are shaped, tested, and brought to life.
Our first session, Designing a Home, explores a considered approach to renovation and new builds, offering a closer look at the thinking, process, and detail behind well-resolved interiors. It is particularly suited to those planning a project, as well as those with a broader interest in interior design and the process itself.
We begin the day together over a morning mocktail — or a cocktail, if you are feeling inclined — before settling into an intimate, carefully paced exploration of two recent residential projects.
Through a candid and considered discussion, we will share the design journey behind our work, from early decisions and spatial planning through to the final layered interior. Justin will focus more closely on the build process and the relationship between designer and architect, while Lucinda will explore furnishing and the layering of the interior.
Midday, guests will join us for lunch in the private dining room at Osteria Renata — an opportunity to continue the conversation in a relaxed and more personal setting.
This is not a lecture or a panel, but a working studio experience, designed to feel personal, unhurried, and genuinely immersive.
The day includes:
— In-depth presentations from Justin Bishop and Lucinda Kimpton
— A live styling demonstration
— A curated material and finishes experience
— Lunch at Osteria Renata
— Refreshments throughout the day
— A beautifully curated gift to take home
— A private 30-minute design session with Justin or Lucinda (held via Zoom in the weeks following)
